Jhatpat Chicken Curry
This recipe is my style of Chicken curry made in jiffy without compromising on taste. Ideal for people who are always on the go. It can be made within 30 minutes of time. So next time if any guests come without prior intimation, don’t worry! This recipe is perfect for you. Guests will not stop praising you. Bachelors and beginners who are new with cooking can easily make this spicy delicacy.

Prep time : 10 mins
Cook time : 20 mins
Serves : 4-5 Pax
Ingredients
600 gms Chicken
2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tbsp garam masala powder/ Chicken masala
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 tsp Cumin seeds
Whole spices (cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, pepper)
4 tbsp curd
1 Large Onion
1 medium sized Tomato
3 Green Chilli
2 tbsp Oil
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves
Kasuri methi(optional)
Method:
- Marinate chicken for atleast 15-20 mins with curd, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and salt. If time permits you can marinate for more time.
- Until chicken gets marinated, In a pan heat 2 tbsp oil add Cumin seeds and whole spices, sauté well.
- Next add finely chopped onion and salt, sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add coriander leaves, finely chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder and ginger garlic paste. Sauté well until the masala oozes out oil. You can also add some green chilli (optional)
- At this stage add marinated chicken. Sauté for 5 mins
- Next add water as per the consistency you require. Cover lid and Cook for 10 mins or until chicken is well cooked.
- Finally add garam masala, kasuri methi and cook for 2 mins
- Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice..Enjoy !
