Pepper Honey Chicken
Pressed for time? Here is a simple and easy to make dish which has a good mix of vegetables and chicken. Assorted vegetables with pepper & honey chicken is delicious and can be enjoyed with sticky rice or just as it is!
1 medium sized Onion 6 cloves of garlic 1/2 inch ginger
1/2 lemon juice/1 tsp vinegar 2 tsp crushed pepper Soya Sauce Honey
Sesame oil/Cooking oil Salt as per taste
Assorted Vegetables with Pepper Honey Chicken
Preparation time : 15 mins
Cooking time : 30 mins
Ingredients:
200 grams boneless chicken Carrot, capsicum, french beans & cauliflower (or vegetables of your choice)1 medium sized Onion 6 cloves of garlic 1/2 inch ginger
1/2 lemon juice/1 tsp vinegar 2 tsp crushed pepper Soya Sauce Honey
Sesame oil/Cooking oil Salt as per taste
Method
- Wash and drain assorted vegetables. Cut carrots in thin even strips & onions diced.Cut chicken pieces in bite-size
- Mince or finely chop ginger and garlic
- Crush peppercorns or can use pepper powder
- For cooking, take oil in a wok heat in medium flame, take half portion of ginger and garlic. Saute well
- Add chicken pieces, 1 tbsp crushed pepper,1 tbsp soya sauce,1 tbsp honey and salt as per taste.Saute them well
- Cover and cook for about 15 mins or check in intervals whether chicken has cooked in the sauce .
- Once chicken is cooked keep it aside and in the same pan add 1 tbsp sesame oil.
- Heat in medium flame , add rest of the minced ginger and garlic. Saute well
- To this add diced onions, assorted vegetables , crushed peppercorns, soya sauce and 1/2 lemon juice or can use vinegar, add salt as per taste.
- Toss/mix well for about 3 mins. do not over cook the vegetables.
- To this mixture add pepper honey chicken. toss them well.
- Serve hot with sticky rice or can have as it is.
