Fasting Potato Fry recipe / Vrat ke Aloo Fry

Fasting potato fry vrat aloo fry

Aloo fry or potato fry is a fasting food which is not only good in taste but will keep you full during the festive fasting.

Ingredients 


2 boiled and cut potatoes 
1 1/2 tbsp Ghee
1 tsp pepper powder
2 green chili
1 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1/2 tsp Amchur powder (Dry Mango Powder)
1/2 tsp Chilli Powder (Optional)

Coriander leaves

Method :

  1. Firstly boil boil potatoes. Peel them and cut into medium dices 
  2. In a pan heat Ghee in medium flame 
  3. Once Ghee is hot add cumin seeds , add green chili once cumin seeds start to flutter
  4. Now add boiled potatoes and rock salt, sauté them well
  5. Add pepper powder, amchur powder and chili powder
  6. Keep tossing the potatoes for about 5 mins so that it doesn’t burn
  7. Finally add Coriander leaves
Note : Some people avoid red chili powder and amchur powder during fast. You can make this dish without adding both these ingredients.
