Steamed Chicken Momos Recipe
Chicken Momos
One of the healthiest and most loved street food is undoubtedly momos. I am preparing these delicious chicken dumplings using just a strainer and pot of boiling water. You can use steamer/idli maker/pressure cooker.
Momos or Dimsum are local to Tibet and Nepal but it is usually referred to generally as Asian food
It is quite easy to prepare at home without putting much effort.

- Grease the strainer with little oil and cook the momos for about 20 mins
- Serve hot with momos chutney or schezwan sauce
Note/Tips:
- I have used strainer for steaming to demonstrate how it can be cooked without steamer or idli maker. Please note the time taken for steaming on strainer is little more than regular steamers.
- I like my dumplings to be stuffed with fillings, you can make out with the size of my momos haha. The size and fillings all depends upon personal choice
- If you like crunchy momos , these same dumplings can be deep fried as well, just don't forget to add little butter over it before consuming
