Panchakajjaya Prasad recipe
Panchakajja is usually prepared during Ganesh Chaturthi
festival as it is believed to be a favourite dish of Lord Ganesha. Panchakajja
is a very simple and delicious mixture of five ingredients hence the prefix ‘Pancha’
which means five in Sanskrit.

Ingredients:
2 cups thin flat rice (Poha)/puffed paddy (Layo/Layi)
1 cup freshly grated coconut
½ cup jaggery
1 tsp black sesame (til)
½ tsp freshly crushed Cardamom powder
Method :

In a pan melt jaggery using half cup of water

Once jaggery is melted add freshly grated
coconut and cardamom powder to it. Cook for 5 mins till the mixture becomes
little thick and turns brown.

Heat skillet/tawa and dry roast the black sesame
for few seconds till you get a nice aroma.

Place all the above ingredients in a wide bowl
and add poha/puffed paddy, mix everything well. Naivedyam/Bhog is ready to be
served to Lord Ganesha.
Serving- Can serve 4-5 people.
